In the ad, a young woman preparing for marriage is invited to a marriage proposal from a young man who has received the Covid vaccine. The 24-year-old Roman Catholic girl is reportedly inviting marriage proposals from postgraduates who have received two doses of the Covishield vaccine. The ad has received a great response in online. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor recently shared a photo of the wedding advertisement on Twitter.
Shashi Tharoor shared in the post, “The girl who took the vaccine invites marriage proposals from the young men who received the vaccine. “Will such an advertisement become normal again?”
”The bride who received the vaccine wants a groom who is just as safe. It is now mandatory for vaccines along with caste and religion, ”said a Twitter user.
But the ad was a “harmless” campaign. The campaign was started by a man from Goa as part of an effort to reach as many people as possible to receive the Covid vaccine. The ad was released by a man named Savio Figueroa.
His original post titled “The Future of Matrimonials” was shared on Facebook last week. The attention-grabbing matrimonial ad was also posted along with the contact number of a vaccination center.
“I created the ad with the aim of encouraging people to get the vaccine, which I posted on my Facebook page. But many thought it was real. And went viral. Speaking to the Indian Express, Savio said.
