This is a very rare review copy that the publisher handed out to reviewers and test readers before the release of the first printing. As such, it does not have a price listed and does not have copyright numbers on the copyright page.
This book’s dust jacket is glossy and unlike any other printing of Chamber of Secrets. The book is also colored solid black to denote it was a pre-publishing copy.
Additionally, the errors typical of a 1st edition/1st printing are present. Most notably on page 157 where Percy is referred to as “Perry.” And near the first title page, there is writing that spells “Sorcerer’s Stone” as “Sorceror’s Stone.”
This is a unique and very rare find that is a great addition to any avid collector.
The book has some crinkling and wear and tear on the corners of the dust jacket. Otherwise the book is in very good condition.
